ServiceNow for Staff Service Requests
In all of
UTO, we are now using a product called ServiceNow to track our work and
requests for services.
To request our services, simply go to:https://asu.service-now.com/ess/catalog_content.do?sysparm_content_url=com.glideapp.servicecatalog_cat_item_view.do?sysparm_id=671c4aea3d7b110047cd2eb67a2c3041 (you may be prompted to login).
Or to enter in a request for service, or to report an incident, simply go to My ASU and click on the “Service” Tab, and click on “Submit a Request”. If you type in My Reports in the Search Catalog field, you’ll find us right away. This page can be used for all of your UTO needs as well.
Sending an email to myreports@asu.edu will no longer generate a service request, however we will continue to monitor this email address during this intermediate transition time.
Thank you so much!

Internet Explorer Vulnerability -- UPDATE
A patch has been issued for the Internet Explorer vulnerability that caused the ban of its use, impacting My Reports / Hyperion users.
Depending on your computer’s configuration and update policy, this patch may have been installed on your computer.
If this patch has been installed, you may return to using Internet Explorer.
Below is a way to identify if the security update (KB29464358) has been applied to your computer:
Through the Control Panel
1. Go to Control Panel> System and Security> Windows Update
2. If you don’t see “Windows is up to date”, click on ‘Check for updates’
3. You may get a message that ‘no updates are available’ or ‘updates are available’.
4. If important updates are available, apply them.
5. To confirm which updates have been installed, click on the “View update history’ link.
a. If it indicates that Windows is up to date, you can verify by clicking “Check for updates”

Internet Explorer Vulnerability
My Reports users can access Hyperion through My Apps. You can get into My Apps with Chrome, Firefox and Safari. Within My Apps, the IE8 browser is safe because it can only get to the Hyperion address and cannot access any other site.
There is also a downloadable application
that is an unofficial workaround that can also be used to access My
Reports. This application uses a locked
down version of Firefox 2 within it.
Please keep in mind that this FF based application was not created by
UTO so it has little or no support and may not successfully install on all
machines.
Individuals should also change their default browser
setting when accessing links. Below are
the instructions on how to change your default browser:
Type "default programs" in
the Start menu (bottom left of your screen) search box. This should bring up a
screen that will let you select program defaults as well as default file types.
You'll want to set your favorite web browser as the default, which should force
it to open your email links. If that still doesn't work, select "Associate
a file type or protocol with a program" and associate ""URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol"
with your web browser of choice. Repeat for file types "HyperText Transfer
Protocol with Privacy" and FTP.
If you need assistance in configuring My Apps, please send
an email to myreports@asu.edu.
Thanks for your patience until the Internet Explorer is
resolved.
